The iconic collection of glass birds designed by Finnish design legend Oiva Toikka for Iittala combines his passion for nature and glassblowing. Each bird is a unique art object with its own personality. Handmade and mouth-blown at the Iittala glass factory, the collection is a rich fusion of traditional glass art with the craftsmanship of Toikka and his team. Birds by Toikka Singing Swan is an ode to the national bird of Finland, Toikka's homeland. The graceful design with its long neck is a tribute to Karelia, where the artist was born. The contrast between the snow-white body and the dark beak underlines the elegant beauty of this bird.
