This beautiful cheese knife from Forge de Laguiole was designed by renowned French chef Michel Bras and his brother André.
Distinctive is the round handle made of stamina wood, this gives the knife a very distinctive look. Furthermore, the handle allows you to place the cheese knife upright on the table without the blade coming into contact with the table. This is because the handle, in which the blade runs all the way through, gives the knife perfect balance.
The sturdy blade is made of strong stainless steel. The razor-sharp blade is 14 centimetres long and suddenly rises very sharply after about three-quarters of its length. This makes it easy to cut through a soft cheese in one smooth movement.
Forge de Laguiole is the most prestigious knife manufacturer in the world, based in a Phillippe Starck-designed building in the village of Laguiole. In its workshops, each knife is made entirely by traditional methods and by a single artisan.
