Iittala Birds by Toikka Summer Snow Grouse

The iconic collection of glass birds designed by Oiva Toikka for Iittala was released in 1972. Each bird is a unique art object that combines Toikka's passion for nature with the art of glassblowing. Handmade and mouth-blown at the Iittala glass factory, the collection is a rich fusion of traditional glass art with the craftsmanship of Toikka and his team.

The Birds by Toikka summer snow grouse measures 150x110 mm and is an ode to the sun, with her small honey-coloured head, firm neck and golden body with transparent spots. The wavy brown lines on her body give her a rich plumage.
